Later during investigation it was revealed that even the compensation amount of Rs 2,000 was not paid to the beneficiary. He said, ‘The operating surgeon has been issued a show cause notice by the CDM (Chief District Medical Officer) and PHO (Public Health Officer), Malkangiri regarding the omission to determine eligibility and performing the surgery without proper screening.’
